Community Studio: Sewing 101+ | Tote Bags & Techniques

  • bioFASHIONtech LAB @Stamford Town Center 100 Greyrock Place Stamford, CT, 06901 United States (map)

No experience is necessary. For those who want to take their skills to the next level, they'll learn how to create a tote bag from upcycled materials! We'll help guide you through how to assemble patterns, draft a basic pocket, and add finishing touches. If you are new to sewing, we’ll cover basic sewing terminology and start sewing! Participants will get a chance to practice setting up the machine and learning how to create stitches and seams such as a French seam and a flat-fell seam.

Sign up through our Eventbrite here!

This workshop is open to the public with a suggested donation of $7 (we will never turn anyone away for a lack of funds). If you can’t make it to the workshop, kindly cancel your registration to open up the spot for others. Please email if you have any questions.
